ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Liam McKeon, and I am a professional photographer. From the very beginning, photography has been a part of my life.
I grew up in Woodstock, New York playing soccer, fly fishing, and being outdoors. My younger brother is a producer at a professional music studio.
For the past three years, I’ve been assisting a travel and lifestyle photographer named John Huba, who has worked professionally for over forty years. Huba was a former assistant to Bruce Weber, worked for magazines like Travel and Leisure, and has photographed and directed campaigns for clients like Old Navy. Working alongside him has been one of the most formative experiences of my career.
I got my start working closely with a videographer named Joe for two years. He introduced me to the craft and taught me the technical fundamentals of using a camera
During this time, I’ve gained hands-on industry experience working for commercial clients like Amazon, Verizon, Wells Fargo. I have learned the roles and skills of photography assistant and also a digital tech, second camera operator, and video editor. Our work has taken us all over the world, from the Bahamas, to private jet commercials In North Carolina, to fashion productions in NYC.
From Huba, I’ve been fortunate enough to assist Bruce Weber , along with other esteemed photographers including Drew Jarrett, Kotaro Kawashima, Paul Westlake, and Mario Sorrenti for French Vogue.
Learning directly from masters who have dedicated their lives to this craft has shaped the way I see photography, and I carry those lessons into the work I create today. I hope to be a revolutionary force in photography and in the world at large, one picture at a time.
Peace and Love
